Both Source and Resource
Interfast is a solution-based company. As both a source and a resource, we offer our customers innovative support for the unique challenges they face in the day-to-day running of their operations.
As a source, we have developed an international network of manufacturers that can provide everything from the most basic to the most obscure products. (Meeting quality, timing and cost expectations)
As a resource, you have access to a uniquely combined group of experienced and dedicated men and women, who understand that adding value for the customer is in everything they do. Our people provide a resource base from which solutions can be drawn.
The provision of kits reduces your storage requirements, simplifies product assembly and further reduces handling costs. From sourcing, inspection, packaging, bar-coding labeling, all while maintaining complete traceability, complex kits of parts can be delivered to each production stage either on demand or to a manufacturer’s build programme.
Our subassembly capability results in lowering your manufacturing costs and improves production time. Interfast manages the assembly of its own supplied parts as well as components directly produced by you (or sub contractors) and deliveries can be made to match production schedules. This can be accomplished while maintaining one Subassembly and individual component traceability.

Interfast slogan is “Make Your Inventory Our Responsibility.” Handing over the everyday tasks of sourcing, ordering, delivery, quality control, warehousing and maintaining safe levels of back up stock takes a leap of faith. OEMs are learning that by supplying Interfast with inventory and buying data upfront, Interfast is able to successfully turn what used to be unpleasant tasks into a successful and efficient replenishment process.
The Custom Program Leader
ImageCIMS™ offers a wide range of automated inventory and reordering processes and customized packaging programs, utilizing process mapping, bar-coding and other advanced technologies. CIMS™ enables Interfast to access global product sourcing and provide inspection and disposition for the provisioning of certified, traceable inventory. This translates into uninterrupted production, reduced customer inventories, elimination of non-essential functions, and total cost reductions. Together we can construct a program that will save you the customer up to 30 to 35% on material handling and administration costs.
Material Handling and Administration (Hidden) Costs
Manufacturing is rapidly changing and negotiating prices on class “C ” Parts (fasteners) this no longer a value added exercise. Many OEMs are opting to outsource this activity allowing their purchasing resources to focus on the higher Value materials ( class “A” and Class “B”) that make up the majority of raw materials and components purchased. It is estimated that today’s OEMs spend up to 80% of their time chasing down items that represent only 20% or less of the inventory value they are responsible for. As a result, the cost of class “C ”parts procurement is greater than the unit cost of the material being procured.
Bin Stocking - Never worry about overstocked bins or running short of parts
Bin stocking is nothing new to the fastener industry. Many distributors maintain “bin stocking” programs for their customers. Yet a true effective program must have systems and a built-in flow control component driving the replenishing process. By implementing a simple and visual automatic replenishment system, our customers maintain control and yet never worry about overstocked bins or running short of parts.
"New" TagBin
Bins no longer need to be individually examined and noted to establish requirements for replenishment. When the compartment separator is pulled to access the second batch of parts, a RFID label is exposed , indicating that replenishment is now required.
Either real time (using fixed readers) or be executing a simple walk-by (using a portable reader) the status is identified, and replenishment signals automatically forwarded to the main stores, or direct to Interfast, whichever is appropriate.
