Meticulous Inspection to Ensure the Highest Quality

Wesco Aircraft performs incoming inspections according to industry-accepted sampling plans and tests products using state of the art equipment, as appropriate. Wesco Aircraft’s inspection process involves a dimensional, visual and certification inspection to ensure that product meets the latest revision. Also, our inspection equipment is regularly calibrated on scheduled intervals, ensuring accurate and consistent measurements.

Zero Tolerance for Nonconforming Product

We strive to maintain or exceed our customers’ quality standards by protecting our customers from non-conforming product. If a non-conformance is discovered the entire lot is rejected and immediately returned to the manufacturer. Furthermore, outbound product is verified that it meets all of our customer’s requirements prior to shipping.

Full Product Visibility and Traceability

Wesco Aircraft’s sophisticated inventory management system allows us to quickly determine the location of product within our facilities. In addition to complete inventory management, our system allows us to maintain 100% lot traceability for all of our products, both internally and on all shipments made to our customers.

Continuous Improvement

In addition to complying with all contractual and regulatory requirements, Wesco Aircraft strives to set a higher quality standard for the industry. Our Six Sigma Black Belt and Green Belt lean experts help to identify and implement process improvements. Regular audits by our customers also confirm that, at any given moment, we are performing to their high standards.

Quality Management Services

Dock-to-Stock Quality Assurance Services Dock to Stock Quality Assurance services provide customers with greater efficiency and total cost reductions. By allowing Wesco to assume greater responsibility for Quality Assurance procedures, we can reduce costs associated to QA and ensure that products delivered to customers’ docks are ready to be either directly stocked or to be used immediately in production.
Designated Quality Representative (DQR) Delegated Quality Representatives are authorized by the customer to act on their behalf to perform inspections according to agreed-upon procedures and methods. DQRs are responsible for receiving and inspecting customer product, which is then released for shipment to the customer. We also maintain communication with the customer throughout the process.
Supplier Quality Management We work closely with our suppliers to continuously improve the process controls needed to prevent non-conformances. We also closely monitor the performance of our suppliers through periodic audits and performance reports.
Electronic Document Storage Electronic Document Storage is used to store product certifications, inspection reports and test reports online so they can be viewed when needed. These documents may be accessed 24/7 through our web portal.
QA Materials Testing Laboratory Our in-house QA Materials Testing Laboratory is a NADCAP and A2LA certified facility, also approved by major OEM customers. We utilize computerized, state-of-the art test equipment to perform accurate and error-free Chemical, Mechanical and Metallurgical Tests, in conformity with ISO 17025 specifications.
