President and CEO
Douglas Woollings is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Interfast Inc., a role he has served since 1966 upon forming the company. From modest beginnings in 1966 when he started the company with three people, Doug has succeeded in growing Interfast to the number one market position in Canada and as a top 10 aerospace fastener distribution firm globally, with customers in Asia Pacific, Europe, North and South America.
Recognizing a company’s strength is based on its people, Doug has built a strong management team. Although Interfast is a private company, Doug has chosen to have an active board of directors (with directors from outside of the company bringing specific industry knowledge). He believes it is an invaluable aid for senior management.
Doug has served on several boards including his past role as a Director of the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada. He has served on the Technical Standards Committee for Fasteners and has acted as a Technical Advisor to the fastener industry over the past several years.
Doug has been involved in the aerospace and industrial fastener industries since 1959, starting his career in parts management in the automotive industry. He later served as a National Sales Manager at a British fastener company prior to establishing Interfast.
Doug is an avid pilot of 49 years, maintaining a high level of pilot proficiency with several aircraft types. He also enjoys fly fishing and spending time with his wife and three daughters.
