Slimsert® Threaded Inserts
Slimsert® Inserts are one piece, thin walled locked-in threaded inserts that provide high strength bolted joints in weaker materials.
Slimsert® inserts are a logical choice when space limitations result in minimum boss dimensions, but you require a maximum degree of thread protection and fastening integrity. Free running and thread locking internal threads are available. Slimsert® inserts are manufactured in strict conformance to MIL-I-45932/1C and MIL-I-45932/3B. Slimsert® inserts are easy to install. No special taps or gages are required for parent hole preparation. Swaging the knurl securely locks the insert in place providing high resistance to torque-out.
