All Ram™ latches are manufactured and tested to the highest standards assuring reliable performance in applications where there is no room for error. Ram™ Hook Latches include models with reverse triggers, D-handles, adjustable hooks and safety locks. Low profile hook latches offer strength and reliability in restricted envelope applications. Ram™ also produces pressure relief latches, button latches, adjustable keeper assemblies, shear tension and shear pin latches, hinges and handles, multidirectional load latches and high-performance rotary latches. Rotary latches, made for flat or curved doors and panels, are tool-operated and include mating striker or eyebolt.
Draw Hooks and Keepers
The Alcoa Fastening Systems global network of design and manufacturing facilities produces many standard latches with special features, including a low profile and an adjustable threaded drawhook with an anti-rotation device that maintains the drawhook at the proper length. Some handle designs store the drawbolt with in the handle when the latch is open. Under-center toggle geometry is a feature that offers secure lock-up even when the latch and strike are mounted on different planes. Whatever the features, our high-tension latches give a positive lock every time.
Hold-Down Mechanisms for Avionics
The Alcoa Fastening Systems family of ergonomically designed ratcheting and ultra-lightweight hold-down systems are built to resist extremes of shock and vibration while allowing quick-change capability. A variety of tension, pawl and flush-mounted latches are available.
Ergonomically designed ratcheting and lightweight hold-down systems for line replaceable units (LRU) such as electronic and avionic black boxes. All meet or exceed military and commercial standards.
Pawl Latches
Pawl Latches are designed to secure hinged panels. They have a rotable actuator on which a radially projecting pawl is connected. The shaft is mounted through the panel, and the pawl engages the frame member.
Pressure Relief Latches
Alcoa Fastening Systems Pressure Relief Latches offer thick door and high temperature models. Heavy or light duty, flush button and adjustable bolt push button latches are also in stock.

Tension & Panel Latches
Alcoa Fastening Systems offers an array of latches. The medium duty 51L Series features an adjustable, threaded drawhook. 37L Series, heavy duty latch provides excellent tensile load carrying capacity (4500lbs). Drawbolt stores within handle in open position. Low profile 47L Series for large take-up and attractive styling; trouble-free service. 20L Series, medium duty tension latch can be used with or without strike.
