Clamshell Couplings

W991 Coupling

alt

The W900 Series Clamshell Coupling is the result of more than three decades of experience at AdelWiggins in the design and production of reliable flexible tube connectors. The W900 Series Clamshell Connectors utilize a locking latch design, eliminating the installation of safety wire and offers one-handed installation. Integral electrical bonding eliminates the need for external clamps, fasteners and jumper wire required by most other connectors. The elimination of safety wire, grounding clamps and jumpers provides for a low weight connector

W932F High Temp Seals

alt

The W932F High Temperature Seal was developed to replace the heavy, costly and often unreliable metal seals used in ECS systems. Offering increased performance over the W932B Seal, the W932F Seal is capable of withstanding temperatures up to 750F, with a maximum temperature of 900F. The W932F High Temperature Seal combined with the AdelWiggins Clamshell style coupling offers a light weight, maintainable alternative to metal seals in high temperature applications.

Threaded Connectors

3600 Series

alt

The 3600 Series flexible "WIG-O-FLEX" threaded connector is the original AdelWiggins flexible threaded connector. Developed in the 1950''''s, the 3600 series replaced traditional methods for connecting tubes, which depended on flexible hoses and v-band clamps. The 3600 series provides a positive sealing, mechanical connection between beaded tubes, enabling axial flexure, misalignment and radial displacement. 3600 Series flexible threaded couplings are not electrically bonded.

6300 Series

alt

The 6300 Series flexible "WIG-O-FLEX" threaded connector is the 2nd Generation AdelWiggins flexible threaded connector. Developed in the 1960''s, the 6300 Series provides a positive sealing, mechanical connection between swaged ferrule tube ends. Utilizing single lip swaged ferrule tube ends, the 6300 Series is smaller, lighter and can withstand higher operating pressures than the 3600 Series, while maintaining axial flexure, radial misalignment and displacement. 6300 Series flexible threaded couplings are not electrically bonded.

W700 Series

alt

The W700 Series flexible "WIG-O-FLEX" threaded connector is AdelWiggins first self-locking, flexible threaded connector. Developed in the 1970''''s, the W700 Series provides positive sealing and a mechanical self-locking connection between single lip swaged or welded ferrule tube ends. The W700 Series is smaller and lighter than the 6300 Series and utilizes a self-locking mechanism, eliminating the lockwire requirement of the 6300 Series. The W700DE Series provides internal electrical bonding compliant to MIL-B-5087, Class S., eliminating the requirement of external clamps, fasteners and jumper wires utilized for bonding with other connectors.

AW971 Series

alt

The AW971 Series flexible "WIG-O-FLEX" threaded connector is the latest AdelWiggins first self-locking, flexible threaded connector. Developed in the 1990''s, the AW971 Series provides positive sealing and a mechanical self-locking connection between W900 series double-lip ferrules. The AW971 Threaded connector offers integral electrical bonding.

8300 Series

The 8300 Series rigid "MIN-O-MAL" threaded connector is designed for extra thin wall swaged tube applications. Developed in the 1960's, the 8300 Series provides a rigid, positive sealing, mechanical connection between swaged ferrule tube ends. Utilizing single lip swaged ferrule tube ends, the 8300 Series is smaller and lighter than the 6300 Series. The 8300DE Series rigid threaded connectors are designed to provide electrical bonding compliant to MIL-B-5087, Class S.

Lightning Isolator Tubes

alt

The Composite Tube Isolator Tube product line was originally developed in 1984. It was designed to electrically isolate sections of in-tank fueling systems. AdelWiggins composite Isolator Tubes offer controlled conductivity. The Isolator tubes are constructed from a filament wound tube made from glass fiber and epoxy. Aluminum-alloy ferrules and flanges are bonded to the tubes by a conductive epoxy based adhesive, maintaining a conductive path.
